Angela Bostrom has been with Legal Assistance of Olmsted County since 1998, serving as both Volunteer Attorney Program coordinator and legal assistant.

NICOLE GADE - Secretary

Nicole Gade began work as secretary with Legal Assistance of Olmsted County in March, 2004. Ms. Gade is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin--Eau Claire.


DEBRA GROEHLER - Executive Director and Attorney at Law

Debra A. Groehler, J.D., graduated from Hamline University School of Law in 1999, cum laude, where she was a managing editor for Hamline Law Review. Ms. Groehler received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in French from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 1996.

Prior to becoming the Executive Director at Legal Assistance of Olmsted County, Ms. Groehler was also a staff attorney with the organization from 2002 to 2005. Ms. Groehler has also worked in private practice, focusing mainly on family law, with Swisher Law Firm (2007-2008), and Rolsch & Anderson Law Offices (2000-2002). In addition, she was a law clerk for the Honorable Gerard W. Ring (retired) in both Olmsted and Wabasha County, in 1999-2000.

Ms. Groehler is a member of the Olmsted County Bar Association and the Minnesota State Bar Association, and was the Co-Chair of the Olmsted County Family Bar (2007-2008).


ERIN GUSTAFSON - Attorney at Law

Erin A. Gustafson, J.D., is a 2003 graduate of Creighton University, and a 2007 graduate of the University of Nebraska College of Law. She was admitted to the Minnesota State Bar in 2007.

While in law school, Ms. Gustafson concentrated her interests in the areas of criminal law, public interest law, and international human rights law. During her second and third years of law school, she clerked at the Office of the Nebraska Attorney General in the Criminal Appeals division. Additionally, during her third year of law school, she participated in the law school’s criminal clinic at the Lancaster County Attorney’s Office, and prosecuted misdemeanor offenses. Ms. Gustafson also had the opportunity to study abroad in law school, and took part in the Summer Institute for Global Justice in Utrecht, the Netherlands. During college and law school, she worked for such organizations as the Institute for Latin American Concern, based in the Dominican Republic, and the Guatemala Human Rights Commission in Washington, D.C.

Ms. Gustafson has a strong interest in family law and is very excited to be working for LAOC.


ZACHARY MARSH - Attorney at Law

Zachary P. Marsh, J.D. graduated from the University of Iowa College of Law in May of 2007 after completing his first year of law school at The American University, Washington College of Law in Washington, D.C. Zach is admitted to practice law in the states of Minnesota and Colorado.

During law school, Zach developed a strong interest in both public interest and environmental law. During his second year of law school Zach served as an extern for now Chief Judge Robert W. Pratt of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Iowa. Additionally, Zach worked as a law clerk in the office of a civil litigator during his third year of law school. After moving to Minnesota in early 2008, Zach joined Legal Assistance of Olmsted County as a staff attorney.

Zach is a member of both the Minnesota and Colorado State Bar Associations.


KRISTY ARNDT TURNER - Office Administrator

Kristy was hired by Legal Assistance in April of 2008 and is currently our Office Administrator. Previously, she worked 16 years as a legal assistant for Mary Alice Richardson, a retired attorney who sits on our Board of Directors. Kristy "retired" in 2002 to stay home with her four children, but is now enjoying the adult interaction at Legal Assistance.

Kristy's outside interests include reading, music, gardening, canning, camping and organizing. She has already put her organizational skills to work here in our office, which we appreciate very much!
